  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned and drain excess fat.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder to the beef. Stir to combine and remove from heat.
  3. Place a tortilla on a flat surface, and add a portion of the beef mixture and shredded cheese in the center.
  4. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll it up tightly.
  5. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  6. Carefully place the chimichangas seam side down in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on all sides.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
