  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
  7. Roll dough into balls, then roll them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  8. Place on ungreased baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Let cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
