  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
  6. Roll the dough out on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  7. Add a spoonful of strawberry jam on half of the rectangles, then top with the remaining rectangles.
  8. Seal the edges using a fork.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let them cool and then drizzle with the icing made from powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, try adding different flavors of jam.
  • You can sprinkle some coarse sugar on top before baking for extra sweetness.
