- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.

- Mix the brown sugar and pecans together and sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the filling and top with the remaining brown sugar mixture.
