Classic Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

A delicious and comforting recipe for a classic dish that combines pierogi and kielbasa in a slow-cooked casserole.

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen pierogi
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, layer half of the frozen pierogi.
  2. Add half of the sliced kielbasa over the pierogi.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese and half of the diced onion on top.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, cheese, and onion.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper; pour over the layered ingredients in the crockpot.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogi are tender.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, sauté the onion and garlic before adding them to the crockpot.
  • Feel free to add other veggies you enjoy, such as bell peppers or mushrooms.
