Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta Bake Recipe

A deliciously creamy and cheesy pasta bake mixed with seasoned chicken and vibrant pesto, perfect for a quick family meal.

  • 3 cups rotini pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup pesto sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, pesto, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the chicken mixture and mix until the pasta is evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a little spice, add red pepper flakes to the mixture.
  • Can substitute grilled vegetables for chicken for a vegetarian option.
