- 4 pounds whole chicken
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Place chicken in a resealable bag and pour marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
