  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.
  2. Add the macaroni to the pot and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil and cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in the broccoli and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender.
  4. Reduce the heat and stir in the milk, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
  5. Chop the cooked turkey bacon and stir it back into the pot. Serve warm.
