- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook patties until browned, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water; add to the skillet and stir until thickened.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
