  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and sea salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden.
  8. Let cool on wire racks.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top of the cookies before baking.
  • These cookies can be softened by adding a piece of bread to the container.
